The Green Meadow

Green Stuff

In 2004, I started a blog (or online journal), which evolved in to a space where I gathered a lot of links to resources for ethical living, self-sufficiency and green issues and well as writing about my life in general.

I wanted to make a 'proper' space that I could maintain more easily and which would perhaps be more easily found for people looking for that kind of resources.

This page has links to healthy, non-supermarket purchasing options. It was originally written in 2005, as part of a debate stimulated by the Channel 4 'Dispatches' programme 'Supermarket Secrets'.

This is my contribution - a few links to information sources for ethical, non-processed eating and local and/or organic food. If you only look at one, look at The Big Barn, which has loads of links and information - even seasonal recipes. I also use my copy of The Good Shopping Guide more and more, for everything from financial stuff, through to fridge and pet-food buying.

Downsizer is a fantastic web resource - full of people who are wanting to live more sustainably or already doing so, in urban areas, in villages and on remote islands. It's a welcoming site full of friendly people.

If you have any useful links or books that you think could be added to this list, I would be really grateful if you could email them to me.
